The Shelby Mustang is no stranger to Hertz. In fact, in 1966 Hertz added a Shelby Mustang GT350-H. specifically designed for Hertz for the "Rent-A-Racer" program. These special edition models featured black paint with gold stripes and a black interior. In later years, the Hertz edition Shelby GT-H appeared in 2006 with 500 models produced, and in 2016, 140 GT-H models were available at select Hertz rental locations.
Most recently, the Shelby GT-H and Shelby GT500-H were available to rent at Hertz locations, with the latter being described as the most powerful rental car that Shelby has ever built.
