How the return process works

Return your vehicle to the Hertz Car Sales location where you bought it. There, your vehicle will be checked for any damage and wear. The repurchase price will be the amount paid to purchase the vehicle. A cleaning and recertification fee of $200 will be deducted (unless prohibited by law), as well as any excess wear or damage to the vehicle.

In order to retain the 25Ecredit eligibility following the return of a purchased vehicle, the vehicle must be returned within 48 hours from completing the time of sale with the IRS. Any vehicle return beyond such 48-hour period is not eligible to be cancelled or voided through the IRS and may result in my loss of eligibility for the 25Ecredit on a future purchase.
